@Arjun:

Sounds like you have a 1,000,000x3 summer coming -- at least, if my understanding of how many things go into setting up a house is correct! :) Good luck!

@JP:

I have read that post, great stuff. I recommend anyone else browsing these comments do so as well.

I love your book idea. And forget this once a month business, drink good wine every week!

Great thoughts! I like the free form nature of scheduling during the more relaxed rythms of the summer.

I would recommend taking a look at Marc Andreessen's post on proficiency. He affirms your thoughts about being in the 'flow' while still keeping quality lists.

You can find his post (which you may have seen already!) here: http://tinyurl.com/yq7skx

I would add for those who don't have the benefit of summer vacation to pick a book and find a partner to discuss it with over some good food and wine once a month at an outdoor restaurant.

I like the idea of just 3 projects. Though for me, this summer will be all about making our new house a nicer place to live. My finals are in a week, and after that it's just tackling all the pending projects in the house.

One thing I'll do for sure is list the pending items out before tackling them, as to have an overview of where I'm headed.
